Replacement is only necessary with major structural damage. Slight radial and lateral run-out is reshaped hydraulically and with heat on the MW28R. Wheels are safety-relevant, which is why checking for deformation and cracks comes before any straightening work.

The machine

Three reasons for the MW28R

  • Sensor-controlled measurement

    For steel and aluminium wheels. Detects deformations from 0.1 mm, vertically and horizontally in a single operation. Quick to learn.

  • Precise straightening

    Two joystick-controlled hydraulic presses work on the basis of the measured values, almost fully automatically. For dealerships, tyre dealers, workshops and wheel repairers.

  • Quick-clamping system (optional)

    Centring and bolt variants for conical, spherical and flat seat. Compatible with all common wheel types including centre lock, for example Porsche.

Straightening in practice

How a run-out repair works

  1. 01

    Inspection

    Visual inspection for cracks and deformation. Structural damage is not straightened but leads to replacement.

  2. 02

    Measuring

    The integrated measuring system captures radial and lateral run-out in a single operation, from 0.1 mm.

  3. 03

    Straightening

    The two hydraulic presses reshape the damage via joystick on the basis of the measured values, with applied heat.

  4. 04

    Re-measuring and documenting

    Repeat measurement. Combined with 3D laser measurement and a measurement report, you offer your customers full transparency.

Typical run-out damage

Deformations of the rim lip and barrel, as they occur after potholes and kerb contact. Cracks are not a straightening job but a reason for replacement.
