Audi wheel, 21 inch, kerb damage. Soft-stripped, blasted, primed, CNC diamond-cut and sealed with acrylic powder. Material removed and contour data are documented.

A damaged diamond-cut wheel cannot be painted or polished back to its original state. It has to be turned again, exactly as in manufacturing. Our CNC lathes scan the wheel contour first and machine the surface to an accuracy of 1 µ.

How a wheel repair works
The build-up is the same for every wheel, whether you need a repair or a new colour.

Request with photos
Overall view and close-ups of the damage, quantity and rim size. We reply with an assessment.

Drop-off or collection
In person in Dietzenbach, by shipping box anywhere in Germany, or with our pick-up service in the Rhine-Main region.

Inspection and documentation
Visual inspection, laser measurement and crack testing where needed. Every wheel gets a marking.
- 04
Processing
Stripping, blasting, straightening, CNC diamond cutting, powder coating or painting, always sealed with acrylic powder.
- 05
Final check and return
Run-out check, tyre fitting on request, return shipping or collection. 24-month warranty on the surface.

The machines we work with ourselves
Since 2009 we have been developing CNC lathes for diamond cutting wheels and a complete programme for wheel reconditioning. Every machine stands in our demonstration centre in Dietzenbach and runs there every day on customer jobs.

An integrated probe records the wheel contour to 1 µ. No manufacturer data required.

Material is removed only in the damage zone; the rest of the wheel is over-turned in the hundredths range.

Questions for the wheel doctor
The most common questions from more than 15 years of wheel reconditioning.
How much does a wheel repair cost?
Powder coating costs €175, a full repaint or CNC diamond cutting €250 and run-out repair €150 per wheel, each including 19 % VAT. That is well below the price of a new original wheel. A binding quote follows once we have inspected the wheels on site.
Which wheel damage can be repaired?
Light kerb damage, scratches, corrosion and minor run-out are usually no problem because the strength of the wheel is not affected. Structural damage such as cracks, severe deformation or material loss above 0.5 mm is not repaired for safety reasons.
How long does a wheel repair take?
On average 1 to 2 working days, depending on the process. CNC diamond cutting and multi-layer powder coatings can take a little longer.
What does diamond-cut mean?
A wheel surface is called diamond-cut when it has been machined on a CNC lathe with a diamond tool while rotating. You recognise it by the glossy surface with fine turning lines. Damage can only be repaired by turning the wheel again.
Powder coating or paint?
Powder coating is more durable, cheaper and more environmentally friendly than paint. If a colour is only available as wet paint, we combine the two: powder primer, wet paint, acrylic powder seal.
Do business customers get a discount?
Yes. Business customers who send wheels for repair or refinishing on a recurring basis receive volume-based discount tiers, usually renegotiated annually.
