Ultrasonic wheel washing system MW-UC1

Ultrasonic cleaning

Spotless in 60 to 180 seconds, for around 20 cents.

Granulate and high-pressure systems deliver mediocre results, need manual re-cleaning, plenty of cleaner, neutraliser and water, and damage surfaces. The MW-UC1 cleans loose wheels and complete wheels by ultrasound, fully automatically and ready for coating.

  • 60–180 sper wheel wash, ready for coating
  • ~€0.20cost per wheel wash
  • ~120 wheelsper 8-hour shift

The process

How ultrasound cleans

Ultrasound generates cavitation bubbles in the liquid that implode at up to 1,000 atm and, briefly, 5,500 °C. The resulting micro-jets dislodge brake dust and oily and greasy dirt, even from corners and undercuts. Frequencies of 25,000 to 28,000 Hz are ideal for wheels and do not damage the surface.

In wheel refurbishment, paint-ready cleanliness is required between diamond cutting and coating. Conventional ultrasonic baths fail on the inside of the wheel. In the MW-UC1 the wheel is rotated via the centre bore and is ready for coating after 60 to 180 seconds. Thanks to the warm water, the wheels are dry immediately.

Features of the MW-UC1

  • Fully automatic loading and unloading

Lifting arm with automatic clamping system, operated via optical sensor. Set up in a few simple steps.

  • Loose wheels and complete wheels

The same programs for loose wheels and complete wheels from 16 to 28 inch. No attack on surface or tyre.

  • Freely programmable

Touch display, wash times freely programmable with day-accurate time control. 3 ultrasonic generators, 500-litre tank.

  • No after-treatment

No manual re-cleaning, no rinsing. Immediately dry wheels thanks to warm water.

  • For tyre dealers and workshops

Tyre dealers with wheel storage, vehicle service, vehicle detailing and wheel repair.

  • Other parts possible

Other parts can be cleaned if the swivel arm stays at the side.

Wheel ultrasonic cleaning agent MW-228

Highly efficient, residue-free concentrate for ultrasonic systems, developed together with a well-known chemical company. No reaction with subsequent wet or powder coatings, making it ideal as pre-treatment before CNC diamond cutting, painting and coating. No rinsing required, also for wheel storage. Removes brake dust and oily and greasy contamination, usable up to 60 °C. Environmentally compatible, no complex disposal; not subject to GGVSE (German dangerous goods regulations). From stock, can be ordered around the clock in the online shop.

Ingredients according to EC 648/2004: amphoteric surfactants 5–15%, phosphates 5–15%, cationic surfactants < 5%, non-ionic surfactants < 5%, phosphonates < 5%, preservatives (Phenoxetol, Laurylamine Dipropylenediamine, Butylbenzisothiazolinone), fragrances, alkanolamine. Contains alkylol ethoxylate (C9-11) and Quaternary coco alkyl methyl amine ethoxylate ethyl chloride.

Questions before buying

How many wheels can the MW-UC1 handle per shift?

Around 120 wheels in 8 hours at 240 seconds per wheel including set-up time.

Do complete wheels need different programs from loose wheels?

No, the same programs. Surface and tyre are not attacked.

Is rinsing required after cleaning?

No. The MW-228 concentrate works residue-free, and the wheels are dry immediately thanks to the warm water.

How long does one bath filling last?

500 l of water with 10 l of concentrate cleaned over 750 wheels in testing. We change the solution after around 500 washes.

Which connections are required?

400 V, 32 A, 7.8 kW and compressed air at 6 to 10 bar.
