Developed in-house, proven in our own workshop.
Continuous research and development is part of our company philosophy. Every machine arises from a problem we had to solve in our own wheel refurbishment, and only goes into series production once it works there every day.

Awarded the BSFZ seal
The German research allowance certification body (Bescheinigungsstelle Forschungszulage, BSFZ) has awarded Mainhattan-Wheels the BSFZ seal. It confirms the quality and degree of innovation of our research and development projects. For you this means: the machines are developed further directly by the manufacturer, with deep process understanding and a focus on efficiency, future-proofing and individual requirements.

Founding of Mainhattan-Wheels
Wheel refinishing, wheel trading, and development and sale of machines for wheel refurbishment. First focus: the development of CNC lathes, together with Dipl.-Ing. Peter Beez.
- 2013
Deluxe Wheels Deutschland GmbH
Founding of the company for our own wheel designs. Our own wheels are diamond-cut on our own CNC lathes.

Mainhattan-Wheels Leichtmetallräder GmbH
Deluxe Wheels becomes Mainhattan-Wheels Leichtmetallräder GmbH: own wheel designs and wheel development for customers.

Developments from wheel refurbishment
Non-uniform re-cutting
A process in which more material is removed in the damage zone than on the rest of the face, without a visible transition. It reduces material removal and makes significantly more wheels repairable. Implemented in the OPT2CUT pro software.
Automatic contour capture to 1 µ
Manufacturers' CAD data is not accessible. The integrated touch probe captures workpiece position and surface to an accuracy of 1/1000 mm, once per wheel type.
Contour database
Several thousand wheel contours of wheels from current vehicles, archived and available online to customers. What has been captured once does not need probing again.
OPT2 software family
More than ten years of programming: OPT2WORK for planning and control, OPT2CUT for contour optimisation, OPT2DOC for documentation, OPT2BURN for curing analysis, OPT2COLOR as paint database.

CNC lathes CNC-MW28H, MW28TX, MW28X and MW30V-Mobil; modular powder coating lines; stripping tank MW610-B; ultrasonic wheel washing system MW-UC1; automatic blasting cabinet MW-Autoblast W24 II; straightening machine MW28R; preparation turntable MW-RT1.
Processes and consumables
Loaded oven measurement with software-based curing analysis for every customer line; cold stripping Master Stripper A/B with concentration measuring system; ultrasonic cleaner MW-228, developed with a well-known chemical company.
How we develop
Development takes place in ongoing exchange with our in-house wheel refurbishment. Ideas from daily operation are implemented at short notice; machines and software are continuously developed further. We serve as our own prototype customer: only what meets our own quality and cost-effectiveness requirements is sold. Industry reference: the CNC-MW28H is used in production at the wheel manufacturer etabeta.
