Wheel repair · High-gloss compaction & polishing

Compacted shine. Like chrome, without chrome.

In high-gloss compaction the wheel is polished to a mirror finish and compacted at the same time in a machine process. The surface is hardened and gains an even, chrome-like shine that fine sanding with a buffing wheel cannot achieve.

Compacting instead of polishing

Manual polishing means fine sanding and a buffing wheel, one spot at a time. High-gloss compaction works by machine on the whole wheel: the surface is polished and compacted, i.e. hardened, in the process. The result is an even mirror finish across the entire wheel that visually resembles chrome.

For everyday use we recommend sealing afterwards with a high-strength, clear acrylic coating. It protects the compacted surface from weather, brake dust and cleaning agents. Without the seal the wheel needs more care, but can be re-polished.

Compacted and polished wheels that have been damaged cannot be re-polished; we repair them by CNC diamond cutting.

High-gloss compaction or paint?

  • Compaction

Deep metallic shine across the entire wheel, hardened surface. Ideal for classics and show cars; with an acrylic seal also for everyday use.

  • Painting or powder coating

Any colour, robust and easy to care for. The better choice for winter wheels and high mileages.

  • Combination

Compacted outer barrel with painted centre, diamond-cut face or candy tinted clear: we combine the processes to your wishes.
